Default Jeep cut off helppp!!!

I was driving down the highway going about 70 and my jeep engine just turned off. It didnt seem to stall from gas it just straight turned off but the car electronics were still on. Got it to the side and got it to crack for a few seconds but it turned off. Ive been here 7 hrs. Its getting fuel and spark. Ive replaced the cps but that didn't do anything. Not throwing any codes either. Please someone help!!

Mine did the same before. My fix was the crankshaft positioning sensor.

I had the same problem. I agree change the crank sensor but also change the cam sensor. That's what my problem was. Its in the distributor mine was built into it but I had a wrangler with the same problem and the sensor could be replaced itself.

You say you have spark and fuel. But do you have a good bright blue spark any less can cause problems with running or even starting. Also do you have the correct fuel pressure at the rail? If you are working on a 98 as you have on your profile you should have 49psi +or- 5psi.

It has good spark from the coil but now i have no spark from the plugs. It is the 98 and now im stranded on the side of the road until I can get another ride.

It may still be your cps if it's an after market one, those are known to be bad right out of the box. You may have to get an OEM one. I know it may be hard since you are stranded.

Guess ill look into a coil whenever I get another ride. This is 19.5 hrs ive been sitting with my jeep trying to fix it.... Hahahhaha! But ive put 2 cps in it so far and one cost damn near $100 and since its getting spark at the coil i dont know if thatd be the problem now.

I wish I could be of more help or I was close to you and just pull you home. Believe me I know how it feels to be stranded so far from home. As for now all I really can to is wish you luck!
