Unhappy Jeep bogging and not starting

I know there's probably tons of post about this but i cant afford to spend anymore money relating my problems to someone else and their solutions not working for me. I just bought a 94 4.0l cherokee sport 2door.

When i was driving it felt like it would cut out on me, no throttle at all and rpms drop. Then after a few seconds it would gain power and start working again. And 2 times now i went to start it up and it would idle very low and rough and shut off and wouldn't keep running. i let it sit over night and it works again the next day for a bit. My Gas gauge on the dashboard isnt working either but i know im definitely not out of gas. i replaced the throttle position sensor. i just dont know if i should replace the fuel pump or not. or idk what else would be the issue with it. i just dont wanna keep wasting more cash on this. im not a mechanic by any means obviously lol. any help appreciated
