It's the Name That Part Game...
My boyfriend and I bought a 1988 Jeep Cherokee 4.0l and have been fixing it up (quite a feat considering it sat in the desert for 6 years after my boyfriend's uncle and tweeker friends were done messing with it.).
So a couple of weeks back, we were going up a steep mountain and he tried to use this switch that's labeled "power" and "comfort" and it broke. The switch itself is located to the right of the driver on the dash next to the cigarette lighter. There's another switch for the windshield wipers (which doesn't work because they rerouted it to the turn signal ****. But that's a project for another day). I looked on Rockauto.com for a "power switch" but came up with nothing. Does anyone know what that switch is called?

It changes the shift point to where is shifts a tad sooner. I about never use mine, where Cruiser, an expert on Renix Jeeps leaves his on all the time. Story goes 91 on is always in "power" mode. (they have no switch).
You can run it ether way, when I want to down-shift sooner, I just give it a little more throttle.
Sorry to hear about the tweeker work! Man, it's as if they have unlimited energy to do the strangest things! (and the shiny parts will be missing)
