So how hard is this to fix. Just noticed it yesterday. And what is it?

That is a sway bar link, it reduces body roll in corners, etc.. its also one of the most limiting things when it comes to flex...if you cant tell a difference in driving habits...or dont mind then just remove the links and the bar completely. Hell..i cut my link mounts off and never looked back.

My jeep rides perfectly fine without a sway bar.

Not hard to fix. And I would suggest fixing it. Especially if your car is a daily driver and sees any time on the highway. It's for safety concerns even if people say it rides fine without it.

It's a sway bar link. Couple bolts is what it'll take to fix.

Apply PB Blaster liberally to the existing fasteners. Check your tooling - you'll need a ratchet and/or breaker bar, a deep socket set and large Torx bit (T60?). The stabilizer bar end links differ between left and right sides so pay attention to your part number suffixes (i.e., L or R) - I'd recommend replacing both. Check the condition of your stabilizer bar clamp bushings too while you're at it.

easy fix. done mine in 20 minutes and a half can of pb blast(10 of the minutes was letting the bp blast sit there) i belive it was like 15 bucks at advanced auto
