lol i hope thats a joke
he said he doesnt have a DROPPED pitman arm
and yes I will be getting RC nitro 9000 shocks and YJ brake lines. And thanks for the heads up on the blocks although I was going to use shackles anyway.
I doubt I'll ever be going over 4.5 inches of lift either, but I think ill go ahead and grab a ZJ pitman arm at the JY and eventually get a set of RC longer and angled lower control arms, these to be specific, only $99 bucks.
From their just upgrade tie rods n stuff I guess, maybe eventually a d44 ^_^
Oh and better tires :P Im not sure whats on their now but I know their big enough to rub when I turn to sharp back out and their a decent all terrain. to measure tires just go from the ground to the top right?
thanks everyone!
Ill take pics of the whole process whenever it gets done!

the numbers might be different but that is what the setup will look like. post up here what they say and someone will tell you what size they are.

if you want to know what size your tires are they say right on the sidewall. it will either be setup like 235-75-r15 or 30/9.50/r15

thanks!
aw I only have 29's, I thought they looked beefier
My bastard pack is from a 95 Dakota 4x4 and it got me 4.5" of lift in the back. I got 3.75' up front out of some lift springs from CL (RE I believe). Got the front to 4.25" with a 1/2" spacer made out of steel I cut out at work and placed above the stock isolator.
Been working great for over a year now- run 31s w/ stock flares and stock BS wheels. I do get a touch of rub at full lock so I have to be careful when doing tight turns. Some day I will get a set of 3.75 or 4" BS rims.
As for the ride- it is pretty good for a lifted jeep. Would be better if I got some better shocks but I did what I could afford- Rough Country Hydros and front steering stabilizer. No SYE or TC drop and I run at 70 on the expressway almost every day.

ahh so those dakota leafs gave you 4.5 inches without shackles or anything? I think I'll do that rather than deal with shackles. Then get the f150 springs for the 4.5 inches upfront. Also good to hear the rides not to bad wiht out other mods, I wont ever be going above 65 so yeah.
eventually full new front end will come, adjustable long arms, track bar, new tie rods and all that good stuff. For now just the lift, shocks and brake lines.
Hah the comment in ur sig about the sound system before the header sounds like me ^_^ need a new manifold gasket bad it put put, but i just crank up my subs and cant hear it :P, gotta get to that soon to heh.

Yeah Dakota leafs with the helper spring got me to 4.5" of lift in the rear.
I was going to go a bit lower by using the XJ helpers b/c I was afraid at that height I would get the dreaded Death Wobble, but the XJ leafs on one side cracked when I tried to get the center pin out. Without the helper spring it was at 3.75" but felt really spongy. Great for crawling and off road, but this is also my DD so I wanted it a bit stiffer.
I got my tunes going, picked up a sound bar at the JY, put in an OK head unit and four great speakers. My wife laughs at me that my $600 Jeep has $400 sound in it (and $800 in tires). :-)
Here is a good pick of my BP. You can see the difference in the spring thickness of the Dakota leafs compared to the XJ main spring. Center pin hole on the XJ had to be drilled out to the same diameter as the Dakota leafs (3/8" I think). I drilled it in place so I did not have to mess with the rusty XJ leaf spring bolts. Also shows off the tread pattern on the GoodYear Authority tires. 15K miles on them now and they still look 90% or so, although I have taken them off and put a set of 31" road tires on it for the summer.

Just bolts in, no fuss?
Any particular year 5.0?
My '93 mirrors already fold?
So judging by this I assume if I want to put an AX15 in my AW4 jeep, I'll need to get the 5-speed crossmember to get it to fit? Good to know.
Really? What about the interior panel and door wiring? I've got electric windows/locks that I'd love to keep, but loose my non-opening smoker windows.

Are you talking the longer REAR control arms?
if you go that route you will have to clearence your spring cups on the front axle, even after you do that they still might hit under full droop.
to figure links use this table
http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/..._Arm_Chart.htm
wj rear are 16.75in long
wj fronts are same as xjs but are bent for tire clearence
