Intermittent vent selector operation
My vent selector on my 2000 jeep Cherokee has been acting up intermittently .. Sometimes when I turn it off and back on it will not switch vents .. And the blower motor will not kick on .. Then after about 2 or 3 minutes it will finally kick on .. Any idea what the problem could be ?

It sounds like a defective climate control panel.
Look at the blower schematic and you'll see that the electrical (ground circuit) connection to the blower goes through the Mode Selector switch, which is a dual function switch, i.e., it controls the vacuum to the HVAC door actuators and serves as an electrical switch (see pic).
You can buy used climate control panels on ebay or from a junk yard.
