Basically had all the typical symptoms of a bad CPS. Since it was a known problem area and I had never replaced it, I figured I might as well switch it out. Put the new one in and it fired right up. Worked for a day and now the intermittent starting problems are back. Tested the new CPS based on the articles I've found on CF and it is good.
Pulled the TPS and cleaned it. Tested good and it wasn't very dirty in the first place. IAC is good as well.
Also pulled and cleaned the connectors on each sensor to make sure that isn't the problem.
Where to look next?

Id would say you still have a CPS issue but it could be the connector on the main engine wiring harness. That is where 75% of your CPS problems originate. I would try wiring in a Junk Yard connector end and see if that helps. A thorough cleaning of it may help also.

Weather has been 0*F - 20*F or so. Humidity 70% - 80%.
Replaced the CPS and it ran fine a few times. Shut it off myself and wouldn't start awhile later. Replaced CPS wiring to main wiring harness. Still won't start.
What are you thinking?

I am having the same problem. I have been working on this issue off and on for 2 years. I have had 4 different machanics work on it, include a so called jeep specialist. Each one of them got it running. Each time within 2 hours of drive time, jeep was dead. I have a 93 Grand Cherokee Limited, 4.0. I have replaced the cam and crank sensor at least 5 times (got a life time warranty) replaced the nutral switch, throttle sensor, temp sensor, pretty much anything that says sensor. I have replaced the coil a few times. I put my PCM in another jeep, they drove with it for a week.
I am to the point of thinking their is some electical issue. Does anyone know where I should start?
Is there some wiring point that affects the cam sensor and the crank sensor and the coil?
The cam sensor always goes out first and the either the crank or the coil goes second and then third.
The last thing, no other machanics will work on this due to the fact that I wont pay them unless they can fix the cause and not the symptoms. As I have already paid for that 4 times.

RHD 1995 cherokee 4.0. Motor faltered, then barely ran, then would not run at all or just hit once or twice. The bell housing bolts to the motor had loosened just a little and it was hard to notice. The CPS sensor was then out of position and reading either nothing or just the rim of the flexplate which is solid metal and not the holes beside it. Tightened the large engine bolts to bell housing and replaced one (top) that was missing and it runs just fine. Had me stumped for a long time.

The next time you get a no start pop the hood and disconnect the TPS wires and try to start it again. If it starts you know you have a bad TPS. On a side note after it starts you can reconnect the TPS and drive normally. Had to do that routine for about a week before I replaced it.
