My Jeep's airbag light flickers on/off. It usually is off but comes on briefly then the light stays off for several minutes or more. The airbag has been tested and no error codes found. Any ideas?

 

Check and see if the fuse is fitting tight in its spot, check for loose connections at the modules. Any other electrical problems? May be related.

 

i am having the same problem and i also have 98, i think it may be a loose fuse because it seems to come on more often when i brake hard take a corner hard or my sub hits REALLY hard. and any of those things could shake it loose or around.

 

Check the fuse if not that it could be your clock spring in the column. If your gauges all stop working after the light comes on its the air bag module. Mine did this two days after I got my jeep and I started with the fuse then the clock spring then the module. Good luck.

 

call the dealer and check to see if there was/ is a recall on your vehicle. Jeep had one for the the airbag computers and it is a lifetime recall. Had it done twice so far

 

thanks everyone it only started recently and it is becoming more frequent and prolonged over time, i'll take it to the dealer and make them fix it! haha
