My interior lights no longer come on when I open my driver side door. Works fine with rear and passenger. Any ideas where to start looking? Thanks
More info, dude. You don't even mention what year your XJ is. The likely cause would be the light trigger in the door frame, not sure if those are the same throughout the 16 years of production but I doubt it so knowing some details about your rig would help.
EDIT: I see you've got details in your signature... that's just not where I normally look.

Could somebody tell me where I can find the switch on my door? Or what the part name might be?

Just look on the door frame towards the front of the jeep, it works the same way as the switch on your fridge door, so look for that
"Door pin switch"
It's a little switch kind of shaped like a pin, on all the Jeeps I've seen, it's on the front edge of the door opening on the body- look near your door hinges. You should be able to push it in like a button, but it may be stuck pushed in. They unscrew with a socket wrench and go bad often in older vehicles. New ones should be about $10-15 at any parts store. Sometimes if you just take them out and clean them up good they start working again.

Oddly enough I had this same issue on both my 88 and 90 all doors but the drivers worked, all I did was unplug it turn it plug it back in and boom lights, might have just been a bad connection idk but that's what worked for me in two different vehicles.

Okay so I got em too work
Took a few pics hopefully this can help some others!
1: Locate your door switch
2:Unscrew the switch using a 9/16 Socket
3: it pulls right apart

4: I used throttle body clean but you can use any sort of electrical cleaner. If yours was like mine it was all crusty and teal.
5: Important part is to put it back in right. If your lights dont come on spin it and try a different connection pattern.
