Default interior lights

my light for the lift gate keeps flickering on and off saying that its open which causes the overhead light to go on and off.....any ideas on where to start looking

Check the push switch that the lift gate hits when it's closed. It could be bad or not being pressed in all the way.

i noticed there was a small tear in the rubber covering the wiring, but i will check out the switch

That tear in the insulation is probably your problem. It's allowing the wire to ground out causing a short. Just wrap it with some electrical tape or of it's too bad, splice in a new piece of wire.

ok fixed it....two of the screws were loose
