Default interior light won't turn off

I have a 98 xj and the other day I noticed my interior light wouldn't shut off. I haven't a clue what it is that's keeping it on. Any ideas would help.

first check the headlight switch to make sure it isnt on the on setting by rotating it back and forth until it stops. if that doesnt fix it you might have a bad switch, its a small button in the door jamb.

I've checked the headlight switch. I've tried the pins for the doors. Does anyone know where the fuse is so I can pull that. I have no owners manual so I can't check that.

First push the black button on the rear cargo light if that doesn't work pull the stereo fuse driver side under dash to the left of the column.

It's fixed for now. I don't know if it was a loose wire or if it was the back light being pushed in or not. I unplugged the lights then plugged them in again. Who knows lol wiring in xjs is always weird

Mine was the switch, falling apart. I just removed it, problem fixed.

2000 Grand Cherokee Laredo - can't get the driver door buttons to work the windows or lock the door and the interior lights don't go off when I shut the door. When driving, all my interior lights are on. I know where the fuses are, should I pull one? Does anyone know which fuse, #, I should pull?
