This is as disassembled as i have... after new gasket and header is reattached. Hang the header and gasket on using the studs at the ends.

Then you'll attach the intake by making sure it sits flush, these are dowels that it must sit on properly. Install all the bolts finger tight till your absolutely sure everything is positioned correctly. You can slightly wiggle it to make sure it's seated.

No, i dont use a FSM anymore. I'v done this job too many times than i care to remember. When you retighten the bolts... i work from centers out. Top and bottom together. Removing the airbox makes this job easier.

I removed the head the other night and took it to the machine shop. It was cracked in between the two valve seats in clinder one. Where my low compression was and where my misfire was. So i had to drive 2 hours to get a new to me rebuilt head. Everything was pretty easy. All i have left to do is put the cooling system back together, connect the exhaust flange (those bolts stripped out during removal), put the valve cover on and a couple more odds and ends and then fire it up. i would have posted pics but the wife has the camera up in mississippi for a week. I took some with my phone and will try to upload them when i can.
Thanks again for all the help.
