Back at with an intake backfire troubleshoot. Been reading through a lot and there's been a lot of different cures to peoples backfire cases be it sensors, fuel pumps, etc.

I haven't gotten too deep into it. Its typical, in 1st/2nd 1500-2200 rpms I'll occasionally get a very noticeable lag and IG I don't let off the gas it'll stay there... In this state of lag. Off the gas, then step on it, intake backfire.

I have a cowl intake, mustang injectors, 60mm tb. Brand new ntk o2 sensors, plugs/wires/rotor/cap all new in last year. New radiator. New CPs, new tps.

Coil pack may be in the future, idk if the MAP sensor is a solution for non renix.

Any thoughts appreciated

 

Catalytic converter may be restricting flow.

 

Any codes, black smoke out of the exhaust?

 

No codes no smoke and I should add it only does it at temp
And this is one of the cleanest rust free jeeps you'll ever see so although I'm sure the cat is a viable culprit that I do just kinda wanna ditch I don't think that's it.

 

Before or after TB and TPS?
