I bought a keyless entry kit for my 99 xj. The Jeep has the long overhead console.
There are so many wiring harnesses on the web, I do not know which is which.
Does anyone have the exact wire harness diagram for the plug in at the upper panel? Again it is a 1999 jeep Cherokee xj 4.0 engine.

Also, I am just interested in only the lock and unlock function. So, can I just cut those wires that effect the splicing to the new keyless receiver and leave the other wires attached to the upper plug? I think the other wires just go to the horn and other stuff. I think I just need the Bat wire, Neg,(I think there are 2 up there) and the lock and unlock wires. Does that sound correct?



this is the image of the generic wire diagram. It is hard to read but the wires are numbered top to bottom. 1white to alarm, 2 brown to alarm 3 white goes to upper right lock 4 brown to upper right door lock 5 green attached to all lock 6 blue attached to all locks 7 black ground 8 red pos. Will this keyless match up?
