best way to do a "kill switch" is with a hidden immobilizer type setup. so that even if they find some wiring or the switch, they still cant spice wires together to get it to start.

i have a complete wiring diagram and parts list i made if anyone is interested.

i worked in theft repair for a while and most "kill switches" are easily found or bypassed.

Is there a way to make the jeep honk when you open the door and you activate the kill switch. That way when they open the door you can hear it too.

And really, is it smart to shoot someone you catch breaking into your vehicle? All that going to do is land you in jail
In Texas, if we see someone breaking in our car we can blast away with no threat of jail time.

You could wire the the horn to the dome lights so it would honk when you open the door while the kill switch was on. You'd probably want to put the switch under the fender well, though. I have a pet rattler I keep under the driver seat.

they make relays that are on timmer.... open door.. 5- 30 sec later alarm horn starts... LOUD LOUD HORNS....
they make a relay that when tilted it makes contact then alarm starts ....LOUD LOUD HORNS....
and a kill switch to fuel pump... not starter.. not coil... to fuel pump..

On alot of cars they got a funky switch on hood light... after hood rasied to a little angle it turns light on... get one of them hook threw a good relay and some horns....now if they try to tow it.. they will atleast draw attention...
the timmer relay you find in yards to.. aka wiper delay switches... stuf like that..

all can be done for a few bucks..

I wont say what kind of alarm i have... but i will say... its insured lol...

In georgia you are allowed to carry in any building except a government building unless posted but you have to be on file with your local sheriffs office and as long as you has proper reason you can shoot someone on your property without penalty or if you are in a store and a robbery occurs you can shoot the robber and will not be penalized the idiot might sue you but thats why guns have that amazing ability to kill

Could you set up the hidden kill switch to disrupt the negative battery terminal? That way the switch would double as a battery saver, eliminating any trickle drain when the car is sitting.

Not unless you stuck the kill switch in the wheel well. It would also need to be a huge battery off switch.

The reason is because you want your grounds as short as possible AND you want the least amount of resistance in your grounds so you need to run a huge switch so it does not impede the grounds function

Bean bag rounds in your 12 guage. If your worried about landing in jail, use non lethal rounds like bean bag rounds. This way your going to break ribs or other bones but not kill. They can be lethal so don't aim for the head. But they will immobilize the thief so that you can ground and pound till the cops arrive, and they will definatley hurt.
It would be nice to see an easy diagram of a few of these ideas for those of us that would like to do this.

I see... so the switch is gunna be like 23 bucks....

what about disrupting the positive terminal, that way you don't have to worry about length as much (or do you?) i just said negative terminal because everyone says disconnect it before doing electrical work on your car.
