I just did my floors and it wasn't too bad. The rust inhalation sucked though. If you want the details, check out the build thread. There's plenty of pictures and I labeled everything by the steps I took to do it. It may help you out a little bit.

So you just used 20 guage steel from lowes? welded in for patch panels and then seam sealed together? Seems like an ok alternative.. I am concerned about the braces for the seat belt attachment points.. They have a conciderable amount of rust in them.. The rear seat belts will not be going back in i dont think.. In fact im not so sure the back seat will either but we will have to see.. Was thinking that if i did the fuel cell in the rear i would make a false floor like a truck bed and have storage for gear beneath it.. Wei will have to see.. Right now it is sitting in the side yard.. Waiting for its day to see the saw..

Ok.. So i began cutting out rust.. And sucking it all clean with my new shop VAC (thanks wifey) anyhow.. Where is a good place to stop cutting.. I mean the whole damn thing is rusty where do i quit cutting out and start just trying to prevent further? I cut all the holes out square so that i can lay in new sheet metal.. Only place i am having a hard time is the rear package area.. I am thinking about just cutting the whole thing out and making a new one.. But i am going to have to keep the latch mounting area.. so i am not sure where to quit.. Go from back seat to rear hatch then patch on the rest of it???

Anyone with better experience feel free to chime in?
