yep...my 01 with 3.5 RE (more like 4") needed one. Felt like I was in a plane taking off while accelerating...everything would start shaking real bad. Porc SYE + Junkyard driveshaft + New ujoints = super smooth drive.

yah i get paid piece work and there replacing the manual machine that i run with an automated one. i'm not that angry becuase i've been lifting 45lb bags of pine shavings for 2 years and my body cant take it much longer. 2400 of them a day 5 to 6 days a week. .07cents a bag. but its all over after next week. thats why i'm laid off next week and want to put a lift in to keep me outta trouble!

Not a good idea. The arms are maxed out at 3" and would be a very bad ride at 4". The axle would be pulled to far in plus your flex would be limited. You can make some homemade bpe's to make up for the shocks. As it's been said, if off road use is your goal then the best idea is to wait it out and buy a 4.5" kit.
