Improved gas malage. How did it hapen???

That's why I usually buy at the Shell station. Like I said before when I have to put gas at walmart I I get crappy gas mileage and sometime it would even ride a little ruff. We will see what happens when I fill up on Weds. I do hope the there isn't something wrong with the trip mileage readout.

I was puzzled. A buddy drove my Jeep on a long trip a while back. Lead footing it and going a bit faster than I normally do, got better MPG.(19). I recently found my 02 sensor was not working at all. I reason that it was dumping some default, rich mix, and by simply using it by going faster is got used instead of just running rich. That would also explain fair highway mileage, but really raw slow speed mileage. Doesn't sound like the OP's issue, but was a head scratcher. I don't know....anyway I'm hoping for better #'s now with the new sensor.
I experienced the same thing with my taurus this last load of shell fuel. Got like 100+ more miles per tank. Thank goodness we got rid of that crap 'winter' gas. Less ethanol and BS additives. I like this current blend.
