Ignition wont turn

Default Ignition wont turn

Have a automatic cherokee and putting key in the ignition it will not turn, tried turn the steering wheel no its completely locked I dunno what to do?

TRy turning the steering wheel both ways while tring to turn the key maybe it is bound up on the lock... try turning the wheel hard but not too hard....

check your shift bezel make sure its in park or neutral

Try both the things above...its more than likely something stupid..if not prepare to pull the steering wheel and a few other things to get to the cylinder...its a PITA.

I finally got it I just have to shake the cylinder a little I guess, so I'm going to look at replacing it and from looking at it, yes it looks like a PITA

Thanks for all your guys input, but I ended up just replacing the cylinder for 80 bucks, the only sucky part is now i have to a carry a key to unlock my doors and a key to start it, plus my other jeep keys, starting to feel like a janitor.
