Default Ignition Switch

Any one got a good write up on replacing the ignition switch. It's not inside the steering column it's supposed to be behind the lower dash panel but having a hard time finding it...

Thanks

The switch is located on top of the steering column under the dash. It is acctuated by a rod from the lock. Basically, lay on your back with your head towards the front of the Jeep, find the most uncomfortable position you can under there, and that should be perfect.. just look up. It would be easier to remove the column to access it, IMHO!!

All you have to remove is the two fasteners on the column at the bottom of the dash and it will probably drop enough to get to it!

Did you go with the stock mounts, or a better aftermarket one??

Yep it was the ignition switch i finally dropped my steering wheel down. and pulled it off. There was one fused end. The connector is screwed up too. So i will have to go to the JY and cut one out and then splice one it. But it was real easy to get too. Once you pop out both those 15 mm nuts that hold the steering column up
