I'm new on here, but I've read a lot of these threads and they have helped me fix my issues. Seems like there's a or of dedicated and intelligent people on this forum.. Kudos
But I'm having an issue I haven't quite figured out.. I have a 98 xj that has nit been starting, I get power when I turn the key to the on position but won't kick the starter. Dosent happen all the time, I've replaced the starter and relay recently, worked fine for a week then tonight it happened again. I can get under it and jump the celinoide so it seems it is getting power. Could it be my ignition switch? Thanks in advance

 

Could be the Neutral Safety Switch (NSS).

I've hear if you put in neutral and it starts then it's likely the case, am I right? I tried this the other day and it still did nit start.

Remove the starter relay and check continuity to ground on( terminal # 85)in park and neutral,if not clean the NSS.

Or swap the relay With the AC relay and try to start the Vehicle.
