Hey guys, got my title and everything in my name today so I went to get my jeep inspected but it was too busy to do it, so the guy told me to come back tomorrow morning. Well, seems like that won't be happening as I have came across a problem that is REALLY pissing me off.
Parked it at about 4 then my friend took me to work, got off an hour ago and went to start my jeep and drive it up the road and back, but it's like the ignition is basically locked up
. Key will not turn it either way forward or back. The steering wheel was also locked but I turned it and it made a "clicking" sound. I stopped doing that because I didn't want to mess it up. I searched around and can't seem to find any real answer on this. I would appreciate the help because I have an inspection appointment tomorrow morning and don't want to miss it.
Thanks all.

I have experienced similar, if you have not already, try the following -
Sometimes the ignition seems to get bound under pressure, for me it usually happens if my wheels are sitting a bit turned when I shut the truck off last.
What I do - put some pressure on the steering wheel like you are turning right, just a bit enough to make it move a little, while trying to turn the key. If it does not work turning right, try it turning left, move the steering wheel enough to relieve pressure on the lock while trying the key.
Hope it helps, if nothing else this response bumps your post up where someone else may answer.

Just makin sure, youd be surpised how many tow calls we get and the car is still in drive when they shut it off which than locks the ignition and wont allow the key out. Its rediculous.
