No, alot of vehicles have a idle hole instead of a IAC. If you put a t body with a idle hole on a car with a IAC it will idle high cause the IAC will be allowing air in and so will the hole=too much.

Sorry, he had mentioned that he'd reset the ECU and I thought you were talking about resetting the ECU again. You're absolutely right about the IAC though with the neg battery cable.
