hmmm i couldnt get a new sensor cause they had to order it but im gonna run some tests tomarrow and get to the bottom of this

use electric cleaner for the iac they stick sometimes just dont loose that spring thats inside them, i did and it was expensive to replace

 

My 89 use to do that. i put a new MAP sensor on it, that fixed it

the part that the sensor attachés to is the part that needs to be clean

 

and just so no one gets confused

A.I.S. is not Automatic idle sensor
jeep has some funny labels on things A.I.S. is air idle speed motor

but any one that has experience will call it IAC idle air control
because that what it is
its not a sensor it doesn't sens any thing it controls

 

well idle air wasnt the problem it was the TPS

started it up it ran at 3000 so turned it off after my teacher said clean off TPS did it and fired it up again and it was totally fine. I plan on getting a new TPS in a few weeks but for now i think it will be okay.

but I thought you had already check that earlier cus that was some of the first thing suggested

 

Yeah i checked both but when i unplugged the TPS it fixed it. if i have time toamrrow i'll hook up a scan tool and see if its giving off any codes
