Ideas to reduce wind noise?
Yes, I know that wind noise is one of the many charms of the XJ. Still, I'd like to be able to hear the radio. :-) Has anyone made any specific changes that resulted in a quieter cabin?

First the funny answers:
Get a louder radio.
Roll the windows up.
Put the doors back on.
Close the sunroof.
And the serious answer:
Take out the complete interior and Dynamat the hell out of everything. Then re-install as normal. You might want to check the door seals too, and replace them if needed.

i know this is an older thread and the answer may very well be located somewhere else.
I recently took on the task of removing all noise from my 92xj, the wind noise was last. the major source, in my instance, was the front windshield. Remove the plastic guard along the top - do this with care the plastic tabs holding it in place may break. I used black silicon to "re"-seal the window. Repeat along the bottom of the windshield if necessary.
that took out the majority of my wind noise, a little could be heard at the door windows to fix this I went to the local junk yard and snagged some original weather stripping. I cut some sections an inch long to fill a gap at the top front of both door windows. (i used the same silicon to glue the stripping in place.
100% wind noise free.
Dynamat is rarely the right answer to any noise problem, but it’s a good way to blow money and time.
