id there a lees expensive alternative to locking hubs
I would like to install locking hubs on my jeep. is there any way to do it w/o spending over $1000 on a conversion kit?

Just drain and fill the front diff with a quality synthetic gear oil. Would try the thinnest one you can get in a synthetic.

swap out to dana 44/9" from a 70's ford truck. still cheaper than a grand. for both axles, and you get your locking hubs. hell, you could even swap out the stock hubs for warn or mile marker and still keep it under a grand. including brackets for the install.
