IAT location on a 99
I want to do the IAT relocation mod on my 99. I have the right-up but its showing it in a different place than where i think mine is. so i just want to confirm that i have the right sensor.
standing in front of the truck looking at the inatake. its just in front and slightly to the right of the tb. is that right.
if someone who knows could post a pic, i would greatly appreciate it.
thanks alot.

although I see you are in Jersey. Therefore I do not recommend this mod. Why? It doesn't get hot enough there.
See here:
See here:
This is a "warm weather" mod.
The 4.0L will have slightly noticable HP gains in HOT weather as the IAT will be giving a more accurate air temperature reading instead of the overall temperature of the usually "runnin hot" motor.
If used in COLD weather the results will be horrific. MPG will drop drastically and the HP will be in the toilet.
Recommendation: Run TWO IAT's. I do
ONE connector.
Cold weather (Lower than 80*)-> connect it to the IAT mounted in the intake.
HOT weather (80*+)-> connect it to the airbox mounted IAT.

that image was taken directly out of a 99 service manual. I guess they didn't feel it was necessary to change it

When you are on Android like I am it should be she same, there should be an "attachments" button between send and cancel when you click reply. That probably didn't make sense lol
