WD40 is not a cleaning agent. I'd use a throttle body or carb cleaner instead. Just be careful not to damage the moving shaft.

Ya its basically just fish oil lol but I had it laying around lol Guess Ill have to buy a can of it then. Might as well do my tb while I have the cleaner handy. Can I use rvt gasket maker or coper tone to seal it so I dont need to buy a gasket

No need to replace any gaskets. Just torque to 60 in/lbs and no more. Remember its INCH/lbs not FOOT/lbs.

Seal what? The IAC or the TB?

Gaskets are pennies at Advance, O'reilly, and the likes, for the TB.

I don't think you can buy the IAC seal seperate. Never tried.

Don't bubba the thing up using RTV.

I do hope you are getting free air for your tires...I'd hate to think you'd have to buy it.

I was having major starting issues, and it all came down to the IAC,
Just grab a can of Throttle Body Cleaner (For Injected), disconnect the sensors and throttle cables, pull the throttle body take off the sensors, be careful I broke my MAP sensor grommet thing the first time, spray the Throttle body and the IAC plunger bit. Clean it all up, put it back together and your done.

Lol thats funny man. Was tlking about the tb and just thinking of things I have here at the house. Dont know how much the gasket costs but I know it wasnt cheap for the gasket kit I got for my brothers engine when I rebuilt it but that was with piston rings and what not so again not sure the price on it all.

Is it bad to over torque it reason being I dont have a torque wrench. I do have a cordless impact thats got 512lbs of torque lol

Just Google your favorite parts store and look up the gasket. I got my last one at Advance Auto Parts, but don't remember what it cost. As I recall I bought it with pocket change.

I assumed he was talking about the IAC when referencing the gasket and the torque values. The TB torque settings are different and getting a new gasket might be a good idea.

If you don't have an in/lbs torque wrench then just keep in mind 60 in/lbs is only 5 ft/lbs and that's just a little more than the force needed to tighten a pickle jar.
