I'm currently thinking about pulling the Limited slip out of the rear and throwing in a soft-locker.

And,,, I hate throwing money at a dana 30, but there is a new product I'm considdering. Ther is a company out there that makes a new type of shaft set up that uses CV's instead of universals. They have a lifetime warranty reguardless of how you break it. Wish I could remember the name of them. I'll have to go look them up again. Bout 1200 if I recall correctly. Then I'm thinking of an ARB. I have always locked up the front of my jeeps up with a lunchbox type locker, but I think I want a selectable in this jeep.

This is all in prepairation for a trip to MOAB this fall

Very impressive!

I must admit I'm a bit of bore when it comes to all these Mods. I own a variety of cars and I like to keep them as original as possible!

So I'm very happy with my just about 100% stock "98 XJ. I love this model!

Awesome Jeep man! I think i'm gonna try build one of those cargo boxes when i get home! thanks for the ideas! btw how has the 30 held up? do you have beefier axle tubes or any upgrades to it? just curious and how about the 35 as well? I just have a 4 popper, but plan on going with bigger tires... any advice would be good! thanks!

On my TJ I waaay over-stress the axles. I run 37 boggers on a 30/35 I have 30 spline alloy shafts in the rear and chro moly in the front. The axles hold up just fine, but I bust R/P all the time due to how tiny the pinion is w. 4:88's. I really don't do to much in the rocks, so they hold up ok. I grenaded my rear detroit about 6 months ago.

I have a 30/35 in my 90 XJ and run 33x15.5 that are wicked heavy. I run stock 27 spline shafts in the rear and have broke 2. I have broke 2 or 3 front stubbs in this one. I get into the rocks a decent bit with this one. Snapped the dang pinion yoke last week. I run 4:11's in this jeep. Considdering the pounding this jeep gets, I'd say that they do pretty good. I throttle jockey the fire out of this one. It's the jeep that the pics I have are rubber side up.

In my 2000 XJ I have a 30/8.25 combo Open in the front and limited in the rear. No problems other than twisting my rear shaft. It only gets playful wheeling so far. Real flexy though so it is fun to climb with.

I'm planning on a set of 60's for my TJ in the very near future, but I'm lazy and havn't started getting all the stuff together and tearing it down...

In all of the time and money spent beefing up my jeep, I feel it necessary to mention that not all the big$$$ MODS are my favorite. One of my favorite after market add on's is the addition of Husky floor liners front and rear. I am a neat freak and they really help keep my daily driver clean.

I had the husky liners in my wifes pilot. Then i discovered the weather tech liners and i threw the huskys in the shed. (they are now in my 2 door to keep my feet off bare metal.) But if you like the huskys you will LOVE the weather tech liners.

Taking a break and eating dinner, but I am in the middle of welding in a Rusty's heavy duty Trac-bar bracket. I also needed to raise the base of the bracket up a little more. My geometyr was good, but not great. This should make it perfect. Since I put long travel shocks on ther and was able to achieve long droop, I started finding a few more weak links.

I'll post a pic or two shortly.
