I wanna talk mods!!!
So I am a Just Empty Every Pocket jeeper and I will boldly say that I don't think there is a (for jeep) manufactured product out there that I don't know about. I have a TJ that I've had for 10 years and made a ton of mistakes on and also had to re-do tonz of things. i.e. finally got it right on my 3rd lift. YAY!!!
I also have a 1990 cherokee that is locked, flexy and rides a lot. I have a 2008 JK Sahara that is my wife's daily driver. Then is the jeep I wanna talk about. It's a 2000 XJ with a bunch of neat mods. I have tried very hard to leave price to the (is what it is) and buy products based on what is truly "best" for my application.
The know how:
I subscribe to JP, Petersons, and Crawl magazines. I have JC Whitney, Quadratech, 4x4 off-road, 4Wheel parts, and a couple others show up at my house every month.
I do everything myself, Including the suk work like changing the evaporator... ugh
I'm not bragging, but I want to list my major mods and give anyone out there to ask why I picked that product and how I feel it worked for me. I'll take detailed pics of anything you request.
Here's my list:
SUSPENSION: Rusty's long arm 6.5 w. ACOS adj in front and JKS Leafs in back w. JKS perches. Bilstein 5150's, Terraflex high-steer, JKS drop Track bar, JKS sway bar relocator, JKS Quicker disconnects, Steering box brace, Rusty's steel braided brake lines all 4, and 2" body lift.
PERFORMANCE: 4.9 Titan stroker, Banks Headder/midpipe, flowmaster 40, Air-raid cold air, Home bored 62mm throttle body and spacer, Bosh 49 pound injectors, and NGK not exotic plugs.
DRIVETRAIN: SYE Kit w a front cardan shaft lengthened, Superior 4:56 gears, 35x12.5 BFG KM1's, Eaton Limited slip in the 8.25, and open front. I know that's not rock-ready, but my other two lifted jeeps are fully locked w Detroit's. I'm no rookie...
PROTECTION: Line-X all the way around the rocker, rear bumper and rock rails, Rusty's rock rails, Rusty't f/r stainless diff covers, Rusty's gas tank skid, Rusty's mid-skid, Rusty's front skid guard/stiffener and a Glock 23 stuck between the seat and counsole.
RECOVERY: ARB safari style front with a Warn XD9000 inside, Rusty's 1 off rear bumper tire carrier w, center hitch and 1" thru D-ring shackles, Hi-lift mounted to my cargo box inside, and my iPhone...
FOR THE EYES: Bushwhacker cut out's, 15% tint all way around, Dick Cepek DC2's 15x10, LOTS of STICKERS, (i like stickers)
FOR THE EARS: 130 amp alt, Red Top, 100 amp Fuse Block, Pioneer Premier, 4x Pioneer Rage 6.5's on a 750w, 2x JL W6's each on a mono 600w. Sweet child Of Mine will make ur ears bleed...
LIGHTS: re-wired and relayed headlight power to get the proper 13.5 instead of the factory 9.5, H4 conversion w. Sylvania Hyper-white. (Super Bright) No need for anything more!!! IPF 130w mounted on the bumper, Extra back-up lights cut into the rear bumper, Extra LED's on the rear corner to be seen from the side, Super trick LED rear tail/turn that I can't remember right now where from...
NEAT: Custom built rear cargo box that housed my 10's, supports my hi-lift, houses a charger for my stinger, and has a lockable cargo drawer that has all kinds of recovery gear and first-aid kit in.
Custom built "frame" stiffeners on the front corners that tie into the bumper and steering box backing to give extra UB support.
Viper 8000 w FM transmitter that will alert me up to 1 mile away.
VERY SOON: Gen-right Hood Vents, some kind of seats "undecided", Some kind of roof-rack and lights, possibly an ARB, Thinkin' bout some new BFG KM2's...
I'm open to any cool MOD suggestions. Nothing frop pep-boyz. I'm always in search of unique and highly functional.
haha, my trail XJ had another rough weekend...
This was the 2nd week of June. 1st oops...

HAHA. I live in Tuscaloosa AL, and the AC is ALWAYS crankin'. We had like 50 days of 90+ heat this past summer. I like the idea of on-board air and the added power, but swamp butt iz noooo fun.

BRUDDAH IT ROCKS!!!! I'll race anything for 100yds. I love to see the look on rice burners faces when they get took by an XJ on 35's.
Little too much for the rear centerpins though. Keep breakin' them. I'm gonna have to drill leafs (yay) and go to a biggger pin...
