I'm sitting here, staring at my XJ while I'm saving up for this lift kit (putting $100/wk towards it, i'm at $250/$600) and I need a project. Anyone have any suggestions for things I could do in the range of cheap-free that'll make a decent change in performance?

Lift the back of your hood up with one inch sq tubing to let hot air out, it really helps when you wheel.

Even under the most extreme of conditions, I think the hood would either buckle or else only come up about 6" towards the passenger compartment. Those are some pretty decent bolts too, same caliber as the stock ones.
