I just bought a 1990 Jeep Cherokee and thats were it all went wrong
It's a 4.0 auto, and I bought it not running and severely hacked together. All the wiring for the head lights and parking lights were messed up, I get that fixed and replace both front wheel hubs. Which brings me to my question the Jeep has been lifted before I bought it looks like it was done with springs. I was told it was lifted at least 4" or so. With this lift it looks like it has put the drive shaft at a bad angle and has made it too short to fit into the transfer case properly. How do I go about fixing this? Can I lower the transfer case? Change the angle of the axle? With all of the money I've dumped into this thing I'm running out and need a cheep fix.

Do the TC drop with 1" longer bolts and washers. It can be done that way super cheap.

That's what I was thinking but I thought I would ask first. Also with the drive shaft out of wack like this kinda killed the transfer case bearing. Can I just pull the tail shaft housing off and replace the bearing and seal easly? also what kind of fluid goes in there? looks like it's leaking transmission fluid.
