Angry i need help to get my rig bak on the road

will my np242 outta my 95 bolt up like the one on my 88 that some dude put there and is now blown up? with chunks of the case missin?

As is... no. You'll need to swap the 88's input gear into the 95's.

Basically disassembling and reassembling the entire transfer.

88 is 21 spline input, 95 is 23 spline.

what is the newst year of np242 with a 21 spline shaft?

Your looking for 87-90, might get lucky with an early 91.

i was under the impression that the only trans case back in the early days was the np 231... i have the 242? i thought it was the newer case? but im not for sure. i appreciate the input

You'll need to check the circular tag on back of transfer case to determine the model. Both the 231 and 242 were available from 87 on..

I wouldnt trust the transfer bezel if someone swapped the case.. id the tag to be sure.

ok well it is a np242 i just didnt know that they have been manufactured that long.
