Exclamation I need help bad

So a little while ago my 88 pioneer caught fire on a FSR and fried the harness behind the battery long story short got a new harness out of a 88 Laredo and got the truck running and was driving from my home town to my place in the city and my radio and sat-radio were turning on and off repetitively i had no turn signals or wipers and any time i tried to use my wipers, heater fan or turn on my head lights those systems would not work and it would try and kill the motor and as iceing on the cake after i parked for the night after all was turned off i was rudely awoken by my uncle as my headlights were on and he couldn't turn them off i g out to find that the truck is off key in the lock position and the headlight switch is all the way pushed in but the lights were on so i disconnected the batt and went to bed i looked at it after work i re hooked up the battery and the lights were off i feel way over my head any ideas tests or comments appreciated

Are you sure you found and replaced all the melted wiring?

i would check/replace your ignition switch, possible that it fried with the fire problem. I had the same issues when my switch went bad, except for the headlight issue.

FWIW, There are no relays or other moving parts in the headlight system, either the switch has gone bad or there's a short in the wiring somewhere.
