I might have found my axles????
I found a 4 cyl jeep.
Would it have 4.10's? It was an automatic. And it was older like 80 something. I think he said 88. Is that the disco axle?
I need to go check it out to see if it has the D44.
Is the disco axle worth having. I mean I could throw a spool in the front and have a selectable front right?????

Forget the disco axle thing. I read the other guys post.
My main thinking is that I could get a set of 4.10 axles and paint them up and put all my lift stuff on them then just pull the old axles and put the new ones in really easy. But is it really worth it. Would it just be easier to put 4.10's in mine. I've done gears before its not that hard, but would I be doing myself a favor by switching the axles. Or should I just drop 4.10's in what I've got...........

Not all the 4cyl's had 4:10's, i'v seen many with 3:73's.
Also doubtfull the 4cyl was equipped with a D44 rear.
If you currently have a non disco D30 and a C8.25 i'd opt for regearing if you have the tools and knowhow.
The only positive that 88 vintage D35 rear axle would have is it's non c-clip.
