Is the clutch in a 1990 cherokee 4.0 adjustable? Mine doesn't start to grab until almost ALL the way to the top. I'm worried that as the clutch wears down a little it won't engage all the way, and it's really annoying and I don't like driving it like that if I can help it. Also, it doesn't seem like theres a gradual enough engagement. As i start to let up, it's like " nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing... and then you're off. Makes for some take-offs, and almost impossible on a hill. Please help out.

 

There's no adjustment. if it's that high then thats a indication it's time to replace the clutch.

Seems like the guy who sold me this thing lied about everything. having a million other problems too.

I just did that on a 79 datsun, and that was bad enough. this one i don't think i can do myself.

 

you should have plunty of practice now...
