Default I have an urgent problem with my Jeep XJ 89?

My Jeep XJ 89 renix just stopped running, It cranks up but wont fire. It was sputtering in the summer after 30min, but when winter cam it stopped. I thought it might be my Crankshaft Position Sensor, but I don't want to replace it if it isn't it. I don't have a ohm meter. I check the fuel pump and it is fine, Filter is not clogged, and the spark plugs are lighting. I have a felling it is the CPS, but I thought I would ask here.

Thanks,
Silber

Try and unplug it and clean terminals, try and spray some cleaner on the sensor itself and then see if that makes a difference.

sounds like throttle position sensor. My son has a 91 and did the same untill it just quit. It was really ceroaded and had to distroy it to take it off. But once it was replaced it runs like top. Read this, hope it helps. good luck

Thanks everyone, I found out I have a bad battery and not enough cranking power to start engine. Also, It seems I will need to replace the Throttle Sensor,Map sensor vacuum hose, Crankshaft Position Sensor, and Camshaft Sensor. It sucks but I can do it slow.

Thanks,
Silber
