you will need a complete front axle, t case crossmember, linkage, t case shifter... possibly some year specific parts...

Is it a 1988? Auto or manual?

This is not a build....yet. Get your parts, and research taken care, and then start a true build thread!! Good luck with your conversion!!

i didn;t have to use a 4x4 crossmember i used my 2wd one but mine is a aw4 manual might be different but he also needs a 4x4 trans with the same slpine count as his tcase i just got a trans and t case together to make it easier

aw4's aren't manuals and you need front axle with matching gear ratio to the rear ...at least the tailshaft of the 4x4 trans... t-case and shifter/ linkage...driveshafts...

You need a new tranny from a 4x4 xj because the back of the 4x2 tranny doesnt have any way of mounting a. T case

ah i can see where it could be read wrong but what i was saying is mine is a aw4 but manuals might be different and x2 on the (tail shaft) cause the 4x4 aw4's "tail shaft" is the t-case
