1989 jeep cherokee xj,

This morning I started the jeep, went down the road and had really hard pressure in my brakes. When I came to a full stop that pressure broke and became really sloppy and barely any pressure at all. Check my master cyl and the levels were fine. Didn't see any leaking from the lines. My drums are stock on my jeep but I haven't had a problem. New front brakes on it last summer. Please help. Do you think it's my drums?

sounds like your booster just took a dump.

first, look at your drums to see if there's fluid leaking.
then maybe pull your drums to see if anything let go.

also check fronts to see if working properly.

but i think you will need a new booster tho.
