This is usually used on British cars with electrical issues where the smoke escaped from the wiring. Maybe you could get some for your application.

What about smoke bombs? Like the cheap kind you can get from 7/11 that last 10 seconds

Its been so cold that i havnt had a chance to check anything out, but it seems its mellowing out with the misfires

Cold weather adapt a hair dryer to it and look for hot air to show in the cold weather ...
