HVAC vacuum issues
Okay...I am not getting the proper amount of vacuum to operate the vacuum actuated blendoor on driver side of my Jeep Cherokee XJ. I have checked the vacuum lines on egine bay and they seem fine. At the heater AC control I seem to be getting some cacuum but not a lot. Vacuum line is connected to ball canister behind bumper, vacuum line is connected to the intake. the AC heat only vents through defrost and will not go to floor or front faced vents. Im at a total loss.

Pro tip: Old hoses often rot at the ends, and sometimes you can get by for a few years just by clipping off half an inch and reattaching the hose. Another useful trick is to use liquid electrical tape to repair leaks in vacuum hoses and fittings.
New parts are always the best, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
