HVAC hurdles
My blower motor only works on high in my 96 XJ. This is the 4th leg of the HVAC hurdle race on my XJ. First replaced the fan motor cuz it was grinding BAD. Second, installed a used vaccum reservoir behind bumper. ( it was missing) Third, replaced the controls in the dash with a used one. Connections were melted and crispy. Cut the connector off and wired each wire individually. Thought this was going to fix the fan speed problem but it didnt. Soooo, now I'm on the the 4th leg. Been reading here and it looks like it may be the blower motor resistor. Is that correct? If so, Where is it? When I took the blower motor out, I remember seeing some little silver thing down below where squirrel cage sits. Would that be it? Any words of wisdom or pictures from my newfound Jeep friends? Please help me win this race!
