From what I understand, if the blower motor only works on high, the problem is the blower motor resistor. I have tried 3 blower motor resistors and 3 different switches. the blower motor only works on high. I'm working on my 01 XJ. I have one other question. If you are looking at the resistor as it is in the blower motor resistor holder, from left to right what are the wire colors? Mine presently are tan,LG,LB and Bk/Tn. Is this correct. where do I trouble shoot next?

I forgot to throw one curve ball into this picture. When we got this jeep, my son drove it 99% of the time. The first time I drove it I noticed the fan speeds from low to high were 2,3,1 and then 4. That's when I got the order from above and rewired. But originally, we had 4 fan speeds, just not in the correct order.

After a discussion with my mechanic, we got the problem fixed. The four wires in the connector needed to be reversed. After looking at the wiring and plug picture, the mechanic said the wires had to be reversed because the plug is turned over when installed.
