Default Huge list of questions

So i got this 89 jeep for 400 bucks
258,000 miles on it. zero rust. Sat for 4 years in dirt.
However I feel like I got 1000 dollars of problems and wants
First
I repaired the main seal. It had a massive leak. Now 2 lines that run across the oil pan at the bumper (idk what they are) are leaking I believe. The leak begins right at the metal and hose part.

2. I didnt mark the stud locations and would like to know them incase I did it wrong which I bet I did.

3. I hear the bearing in the fan for the heater whining so should I replace the motor? I know it seems silly but I dont know if the bearing is in the motor or not.

4. The wiring on this rig is ALL KINDS OF JACKED UP. NONE Of the insturments work except water temp rpm, and speedo. I can see a burned black and white wire burned up off the light switch. I am not sure where the wire goes. The left turn signal on the dash stays on while headlights are on.

5. Around 35-55 a vibration, rattle, shake however you would describe it is felt going down the road. I was thinking prop shaft but not tires. I dont think the tires have a flat spot in them. They sat in dirt and seem pretty smooth and the issues occur at certain speeds.

6. The throttle is sticking. When it starts up it goes up to 2500 rpms kind of like the old cars but then you tap the accelerator and its stops. Not this one. I have to slip it into gear and as i drive down the road it smooths out to normal conditions. I am thinking this is a accerarator cable that needs lube?

Hell of a first post huh

5. Could be a bent axle, out of balance drive shaft, out of balance wheel, bad transmission mount, bad motor mount, etc. Check all.

6. Go ahead and lube up the cable, but it could also be a vacuum leak.

1) the lines that come from the passanger side up to the bumper and across to the driver's side is the transmission lines.

2) idk what your asking here

3) I dont think is a way to replace the bearings there. It could be that a bunch of crap feel down there or some animals lives down there and just needs to be cleaned, or replace the motor.

4) best to get a factory service manual and start tracing wires. Good luck on that one.

x2 Yeah, pull the dipstick on your trans and see what color it is. If it's red, then the lines up front must be for an oil cooler. If it's NOT red, I would be very afraid!

WOW so much fun stuff to do.
So I started to hunt down the electrical.
The black with a white stripe comes off the headlight switch. I really need to know what the wire is or goes too. Its burnt in several places. It looks like it goes into the wiring harness. I so am not going into that ball of mess. If I could just delete and run a serpate it should be fine but I have no idea what it does.
So while hunting it down. I disassembled some of the dash to trace back the burnt wire.
I had to run to auto store and it hard started. It really struggled. Then I put it in gear and it died 12 feet later. Then nothing. I mean nothing. no sounds no lights.
Where should I start?

Pop the hood take the harness off the fusebox for the one in the cab there's a 1/4 bolt in the middleof the wires pull it off and check for corrison for a temp fix find power in ur fuse box and make a jumper wire to the ignition side of the box the port will bel labeled ign that's where you wanna stick the other end of your wire you will hear the fuel pump and all the other bells and whistles when you do it

#5- Replace the bushings in the front end and have an alignment completed.
#6- Pull your throttle body off and clean it real well and add some oil to allow freedom of movement.

The metal hoses (#1) are your tyranny coolent lines, the clamp bleeds, its no big all my friends xjs do that including mine, jus be worried if its dumping, but resigual is ok.
The wobble could be a few things. (#5) could be your u-joints ($18 a piece), your sway bar bushings ($11 replacements), or your rims and tires could need balancing.
I had the same issues with my 98 lol

No the lines bleed at the connector there, if its minor its fine, but if residue is on the ground I'd replace em. Either way with its age I'd clear all fluids, and put new fluids in everything diff's and all.

Oh last check the different plugs, they leak, screw em off, and wrap em with a little pipe tape or threadlock. Just saying issues that they have with age and wear.
