I have a 4.5 inch lift and have pops and clanks comeing from my front end. I make a turn pop pop pop. It really annoys me. My buddies say its part of owning a lifted vehicle. Now its going to the alignment shop tomorrow because the lower control arm bracket that attaches to the front end is bent about an inch back and an inch to the right. My toe and camper are all out of wack. I hope once they true everything up it will stop all this noise.

Sounds like I might have the same/similar problem as jeep.kevin.

I have a 2wd '99 cherokee 4.0L and every time (majority of the time) that I turn left at lower speed (ie into a parking spot, or backing out) I get this pop sound that seems to come from the driver side front. It also recently started making a grinding sound when I turn too sharp to the left every so often.

Any ideas?

I cant see that anything is rubbing. Could worn out tie-rods, upper ball joints, or wheel bearings be causing this?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!
