You're gonna need to post your location, as stated in the For Sale section rules.

Try putting the rearand up on jack stands and have someone give it gas while you walk around your jeep and find the noise on the drivetrain. good chance it is the u-joints. Wheel bearings also howl when going out. hope this helps

Also check ur pinion bearing. My started howling around 40 and progressivly got louder as u sped up. Then backing outta the dway on a wet day, it hooked up spun twice and pow. Pinion bearing demod itself and yanked dshaft out of tcase. if that happens and its lifted, might as well go head and use that as an excuse 2 regear or upgrade axlea like i did. 8) glw search for prob.

As stated pinion bearing or ring & pinion gears. U-joints don't make any noise they just vibrate before they explode.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't proper diagnosis of a pinion bearing necessitate disassembling the entire rear differential? Take the drive train off, Jack up the back end, and have a buddy spin the $#!+ out of the tire. You Should be able to Tell where the noise is coming from with the old screwdriver to the ear trick.

Is your rear pinion pointing right at the t-case output shaft? If not, that might be your problem.
