Default How they work?

So i just finished up my 4.56 gear install with an Aussie locker in the rear, before i take off the jack stands and test drive it i rotate the rear tires:
When i rotate the Pass. side tire the drivers will turn in the same direction like a locker should. When i go to the driver side and rotate some times just the tire and the DS will rotate and you can hear the clutches ratcheting then the pass. side will catch and turn.

Bottom line is: is this how a Aussie locker works? I can feel the difference while i am driving it i just wanna double check to ensure i didnt mess up on the install since it was my first time. I was a very simple install i dont see how i could mess it up. Any advice and explanation would be great. I have been told that it's just acting like a LSD since there was no use for the other tire while on jack stands is this correct?

Ya the locker works when the gas is hit the locker locks the tires. When on a lift and you can spin them freely they won't lock in. If you welded the rear then any way you turn one wheel the other would do the same.

Yes, you will love the Aussie. I had them front and rear and it made a world of difference.
