Oh man sorry dude I owned a stereo shope for 7 years I CAN tune anything.

Tweeters have capacitors in them to limit the frequencies it receives.

Also why add tweeters to a system with a cross-over LOL. At the very minimum use an amp for your highs and use the cross-over on the amp.

The sub in the back I believe is an 8" and if you ever heard of "Lanzar"
look that brand up they sound very nice and are not expensive.

Why would you install 6.5" over 6x8"? That is a down grade.

Oval speakers produce standing waves on their cones. Thats why you never see them in high end home audio speakers. Speaker size and number of tweeters shouldn't be the only considerations when putting together a system.

What about a 5x7 plate system for the rear hatch? You know the plate that comes like a component with a round mid and a tweeter

Wow! I just noticed you promoting lanzar, I'm sorry, but this just proves your knowledge in audio. Lanzar is complete garbage. Down there with flea market crap. Just because you own something, it doesn't make you an expert, obviously. There must be a reason your using the past tense of own. I was in sales for four years, was a member of mera and was certified. I've been to mera conventions several times and factory product trainings with pioneer, jl audio, alpine, and boston acoustics. I'd slit my wrists before I'd recommend garbage to a friend, or a felllow xj owner.

Ok.. what about 6.5 components. Ikesound.com has some good prices. I'm debating though.... I kinda like the fact that I can mount the tweeter on the grill but have two separate speakers. Any experience with this type of component?

You mean you can mount the tweeter to the speaker like a coax or separate like a component? I know jl has a line like that, pretty flexible I think. I always like components for my front stage.

So decent sound, and I hope thats not a bad price, most list them for 100-130$, but I found them for $66. Now to do something about the sub one day...
