I wanna replace my inner shift boot, how does the stick come off? I got a 92 btw

You don't need to take the "stick" out. Just spin the **** off

Nah man it's not the shift boot. It's the middle shift boot

As in

Shift boot(one you can see)

Middle shift boot(middlish of stick)

Tranny shift boot(actually on transmission)

Yea... I know. You have to take out the middle shift boot to pull the stick. You remove the center console and pull the screws. The boot will strech over the center "joint" where a rubber bushing is glued in.

Don't ruin your shift **** like I did. pop the plastic piece out of the center and then take off the second set screw bolt. I think it's a 9/16 or 1/2" But if you do, the dodge dealer still stocks them for about $20 no shift pattern insert though.
