Thread was bold, I was excited to see a new reply, hoping for some answers, but then it was just a crappy pun.

I'm actually a little confused but... I was just putting my engine back together.... you have one other important vacuum line on the vacuum block on the front of the intake. EGR!

I believe that's the evaporation canister... Correct me if I'm wrong.

Should this sensor have a vacuum line attached? Because I attached the one that you see and the smoking is no more. Idles better, runs better overall and doesnt smoke even when I punched it.

I'm guessing the one that's loose goes to the vaccum fitting on your intake manifold. It connects to the lower port of the vacuum fitting that is the farthest forward on the intake manifold. This port is forward of the throttle body. There is another line coming from the evap can that goes to the airbox, too, but that may be different on RENIX.

It is the evap canister. There is a hard plastic line hooked to the airbox that travels up the driver side fender, across the firewall and hooks to a rubber line that hooks to the canister

That sensor looks like the one for egr and if so should have two lines attached.

The other should be right on top of where the other one plugs in right?

I believe so. It's not in front of me.. one comes from manifold other goes to egr.... the little black plastic valve attached to the egr. I'll try and snap some pics in an hour or so.
